Hello! I’m an aerospace engineer and entrepreneur. I design air and space vehicles to solve problems.
Most recently, I built unmanned airships as CTO/Co-founder of Buoyant Aero, with the goal of shipping cargo to remote areas cheaply.
Prior to that, I spent 3 years building communication satellites as an engineer at [Astranis][www.astranis.com] and OneWeb. We flew spacecraft to connect remote communities to the internet, providing service to the billions of people who still don’t have reliable high-speed internet.
I have a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and Physics from MIT. I worked on a lot of interesting technology there, including a giant LED beacon, a cubesat that demonstrated a deformable mirror in space, and tractor beams. During the summers I interned at NASA JPL, writing simulations to design the Next Mars Orbiter.
I am broadly interested in mixed hardware-software systems, vehicle design, and using hard-tech to do good.
